Balance is what fitness is today.
Everyone knows you need to eat clean and drink water and do your reps and your cardio - that is standard today. What we are all looking for in our workouts today is balance.

What is balance? It’s a mix of all of your values! Values lay the groundwork for your goals. Your goals lead to the creation and fulfillment of your mission. Your mission leads to the realization of your life’s work and your legacy. Now you don’t need to be rich to be balanced - you just need to have drive, passion, and a mission in mind for yourself.

Everyone has their own secret to being fit. You just need to find yours. Examples are good for us. We can see how and what fit people do to find balance, learn their secret to staying fit, and use those parts of their experience that may work for us.

SeanSean - Train Like a Banker!

Sean is a great example of a real person who uses fitness to find balance in life. Sean says, "Physical activity has always been very important to me. I was a high-school athlete - I played soccer, football, baseball, you name it. I worked as a sports official and ran the intramural sports department to put myself through college."

Today you will learn how to train like a boxer. Deirdre Fabian is a great example of balance in life using the sport of boxing. Deirdre believes in positive thinking and starts her day with her protein shake first thing in the morning. She feels it puts her in a healthy state of mind. “When I get up, I like to have positive thoughts and start the day with a protein shake. I believe that we decide what our life is going to be like. If you wake up in the morning and have a bad attitude, well that’s what your day is going to be like. It’s a mind over matter a way of thinking. I just have faith in what I am doing and that helps.”

BradBrad - Train Like a Yogi Surfer

"Duck Dive, Duck Dive” – a phrase Brad Bennett had never heard before he started surfing four years ago. The water has always been Brad’s passion; he has been diving for 25 years. He is so much a diver that he spent years cleaning the bottoms of boats in San Diego boatyards while they were in the water. Despite the sea lions and what the nasty sea threw at him, Brad found himself still out there cleaning away day after day because of his pure passion for being in the water. But it was just four years ago that Brad found a new passion in the water that made him feel, “This is it - this is what I have been searching for in my workout routine”.
